The weekend went well. It was so very busy. Friday night we went to Kobe Japanese Steakhouse with Kendra's boss and her boyfriend. It was a celebratory dinner as all four of us got new permanent positions in the past two weeks. Like mine, Kendra's and Julie's were at the same place doing mostly the same thing but Rich's was totally new and hey, the Sheraton paid for the meal (which was INCREDIBLY tasty) and it was fun!
We have so really become parents though. Kendra's mom was babysitting Jackson for us so we could stay out as late as we wanted and do anything. We drove to the movie theater and only recognized like three movies that were playing there and so we just kept on driving. As we talked we realized how boring we were since w couldn't even think of anything to do. We went through the DQ drive-thru and went home. I guess our lives really ARE consumed with work and the kid!
We had a visit from my cousin Tom and his family on Saturday. It was nice to reconnect. They are very nice people and I hope to build a stronger relationship there over the next few years.
Yesterday was the Easter Cantata at church. I played Jesus. It was fun. Teresa got too hot playing Mary Magdalene and pretty much passed out on stage. She was miraculously revived and did great through the second service. She is a real trooper because she did a great job in the first service as well. You could never tell how sick she was getting at all.
My sister came in for awhile yesterday as well. It was nice to see her. It had been a long time. With Kendra's mom here this weekend when we went out she was the babysitter. She kept Jackson for us last night and Kendra was able to go to evening church with me. That NEVER happens.
So, overall it was crazy but good. I am praying this week goes well. Please continue to pray for the housing situation. Everything looks good right now! Still just waiting for the final word on the financing!
