So after my post about stress yesterday morning, I ended up having a great day. Go figure. But I find blogging helps, sort of my way of journaling which can be very therapeutic.Although, I guess I am too honest here. I need to show more restraint. This is probably not going to be my forum for personal thoughts anymore. I will do my best to just try and blog about spiritual matters and the like. My goal on here was never to offend and I guess that has happened a couple of times. I apologize if that was against anyone reading this now.
Also, let me say that teaching is a great profession. It just is not for me. God has placed another call on my life and I am excited about leaving this job and doing what I was made for. Sometimes I may express that with too much vigor but I am an "emotion on my sleeve" kind of guy. I guess I need longer sleeves. I must admit I am rejoicing in what God has done and is doing and even though I may complain about the wait, I am grateful for the opportunity to return to ministry full time. It has been a long time and I guess you can't really understand the mixed emotions unless you, too, have been down a similar path. Many of my readers have not so I might have been inadvertantly offending because it is not an experience all my readers can understand.
Anyway, this has turned out to be way more heavy than I wanted it to be. So here is a survey too (it is from last week):
Another Survey For Fun
Answer the questions and send it back AT LEAST to the person who sent it to you!

Hmmm ... teaching and Student Ministry is now but I almost became the

6. What, if any, are you favorite memories of church life?
Wow! Way too many. Service as a YP mostly. As an "average Joe" God
breaking my heart on Wednesday nights at Heartland. Overall, didn't like

So, Kendra put the van in the shop this morning. I hope all is well. Please pray it will not be an expensive fix. We don't have the money! I have hated this van ever since we bought it. Still, God has provided it for us and it is paid off so, I would like for it to last awhile.
I am under 50 days (48 to be exact) of teaching! Woot!
Please pray for Kendra as she is under a tremendous amount of stress at work. I have such a hard time because I want to protect her. I can't call up the people giving her a hard time and tell then to back off because they are her employers. In a nutshell, the company wants you to give up your soul and all aspects of your outside life when you work for them. It makes life stressful. Even on her personal day off last week, she got in trouble because she didn't call into work to check up on things. HOW RIDICULOUS IS that!?! We are praying that perhaps she could stay at home once I start my church job that will provide us with family insurance. It will be tight but we want to give it a test run. She would be much happier raising our son, giving piano lessons, and selling Mary Kay. I would be happy with that as well.
I realize that I need to pray about my attitude issues. I get so worked up so easily anymore. I have pretty much been an easy going guy all my life but the past couple of years have been hard to just let things slide. Pray that God will help me in this area.
This weekend will be hectic as we are making a one day up and back trip to Kendra's mom. It's a long story but we want to be there but it is going to suck eggs to do it all in one day! UG!
Well, my plan period is shortened today for standardized testing, so I really do need to go get some stuff done. Hope you have a great day!

I have had a BAD morning! The van is doing this weird thing that happened once when we lived in Maine. I don't know how to explain this but it basically has this air hydraulic thing that lifts the back wheels up way high and then you feel like you are driving without any shocks at all.I bounced all the way here like a hip hop star in his low rider. I did not enjoy it.
So, I have been a jerk all day. I am in a bad mood. I want the school year to be done. I SO DON'T care about being here! Oh well! Love my house! It also seems like when I start driving a non-super bouncy ball vehicle here I will cut about ten minutes off my commute. That will be nice over the LONG seven weeks left!
Anyway, pray that the van fix won't be too much. We had to put all four tires on Kendra's car on Sunday and we have had a lot of expenses with the move so money is VERY tight!

Run the Earth, Watch the Sky
By Chris Rice
We are almost all moved in! Kendra and her mom are going back to the condo this afternoon and getting the last of the things we left and cleaning. I am feeling at home already! Things of course are still in boxes but other than that I am surprised at how easy it has been to feel like we are where we belong. God is good.
The movers were fierce! I mean MONSTERS! One of them lifted our solid oak antique desk BY HIMSELF and just carried it out the door. Three of them moved our piano --- and some of you have been party of the usual 6-8 men teams that has taken before and can appreciate the BRUTE STRENGTH of these guys! YIKES!
We are excited to be in. The Direct TV people will be by today so, we will be able to have some entertainment while we unpack! I am WICKED tired. My back was pretty awful last night too. I have taken aspirin today and it seems to have done the trick!
Not looking forward to another week of school. I keep telling myself that it is the last seven weeks. Oh, for the end to come and put the students and me out of our misery! There is definitely some credence to the thought that the educational process will be better off without me! Oh well fifty calendar days and 35 school days left! Woot!
