Kendra and I are just back from a great me in Seattle at the Refresh Conference. God showed us a lot and helped us to learn quite a bit while we were there. The theme was Me Too and they emphasized that we are not alone on the adoption journey. Some of the things were learned were encouraging. It helps you to know that you are not the only one on this path. There were moments we both nodded and felt a connection in our soul as people shared their experiences.
Spiritually it was a magnificent time. Still, the enemy seeks to steal, kill and destroy. Upon our return things got harder at home. We prayed through that and God is faithful as he calmed our spirits. Then today happened.
It seems that Uganda has made some pretty significant changes to their adoption process. It is unclear how these will play out but the worst case scenario would be us not being able to complete the adoption.
God's timing is perfect. We got this news right after a refreshing weekend where we felt God move in our spirits. We know that God can do anything, This process has never been in our control. He is the one who has this plan completely thought out.
The coming days may be difficult. We are walking blind with no control. God desires us to live life without a net. We are trusting him no matter what comes our way. We do ask that you join us in prayer that our adoption will not be affected and that we will accept God's plan whatever that may be.
